Emergency Medical Services (or EMS) in the County of Maui is contracted by the State of Hawai'i - Department of Health (DOH) to American Medical Response (AMR) (which also provides patient transfer services to hospitals in Maui County).

AMR Operates in the County of Maui the following units: 

• 11 Advanced Life Support Units (ALS)

• 1 Rapid Response Unit

• Medevac Chopper (contracted by REACH Aviation)

  • Responses to emergencies along the East Maui Coast​

    • Which encompasses the towns of Hāna, Kaupo, and Kipahulu on Maui and also the rural region of Moloka'i and Lāna'i.
