Earthquake Information Statement for April 22nd, 2019


The United States Geological Survey (USGS) reports a magnitude 6.6 (Moment, later downgraded to a 6.3 Magnitude) earthquake occurred in the region of Tutubigan, Philippines at 7:37 pm Hawaii Standard Time (HST).

The Pacific Tsunami Warning Center (PTWC) has completed their assessment on this event and report that their is NO TSUNAMI THREAT TO THE ISLAND AND STATE OF HAWAII. Again, There is NO TSUNAMI THREAT.


This will be the only statement for this event unless further information is received.
