Earthquake Information Statement for April 29th, 2021

No Tsunami Threat to the Island of Hawaii following three earthquakes in the region of Bandon, Oregon early Thursday morning (April 29th).

The United States Geological Survey (USGS) reports a magnitude of 5.4, 5.2, and 5.3 earthquakes occurred in the region Bandon, Oregon in the Pacific Northwest at 12:30 am, 12:35 am, and 12:58 am Hawaii Standard Time (HST) early Thursday morning (April 29th) all at a depth of 6.2 miles.


Based on all assessments completed by National Tsunami Warning Center (NTWC), Pacific Tsunami Warning Center (PTWC), and Australian Tsunami Warning Centre (ATWC), there is NO TSUNAMI THREAT TO ISLAND AND STATE OF HAWAI'I, AGAIN NO TSUNAMI THREAT.


This will be the only information statement for these events unless further data is received.
