The United States Geological Survey (USGS) reports a magnitude 7.1 earthquake occurred offshore of Namie, Japan at 4:07 am Hawaii Standard Time (HST) Saturday morning (February 13th).
Based on all assessments completed by the Pacific Tsunami Warning Center (PTWC), Joint Australian Tsunami Warning Centre (ATWC), and United States Tsunami Warning Center (USTWC), There is NO TSUNAMI THREAT TO ISLAND AND STATE OF HAWAII, Again NO TSUNAMI THREAT.
This will be the only statement for this event unless further data is received.
