No Tsunami Threat to Hawaii Island following a magnitude 6.0 earthquake in the area of Molibagu, Indonesia on Sunday morning (January 19th).
The United States Geological Survey (USGS) reports a magnitude 6.0 earthquake had occurred in the region of Molibagu, Indonesia at 6:58 am Hawaii Standard Time (HST) on Sunday morning (January 19th).
Based on all assessments completed by the Pacific Tsunami Warning Center (PTWC) and National Tsunami Warning Center (NTWC) in Palmer, Alaska: There is NO TSUNAMI THREAT to the Island and the State of Hawaii. Again, NO TSUNAMI THREAT.
