No Tsunami Threat to the Island of Hawaii following a magnitude 6.3 earthquake in the region of Kermadec Islands, New Zealand Sunday morning (June 20th).

The United States Geological Survey (USGS) reports a magnitude 6.3 (initially a 6.7 later downgraded to a 6.3) earthquake occurred in the region of the Kermadec Islands, New Zealand at a depth of 32 miles at 7:06 am Sunday morning (June 20th) Hawaii Standard Time (HST).
Based on all assessments completed by the Australian Tsunami Warning Centre (ATWC), Japan Tsunami Warning Center (JTWC), Central Pacific Tsunami Warning Center (CPTWC) and National Tsunami Warning Center (NTWC), THERE IS NO TSUNAMI THREAT TO THE ISLAND OR STATE OF HAWAI'I, AGAIN NO TSUNAMI THREAT.
This will be the only statement for this event unless further data is received.
