No Tsunami Threat following a magnitude 6.3 earthquake occurred in the region of Kermadec Islands north of New Zealand early Saturday morning (March 14th).

The United States Geological Survey (USGS) reports a magnitude 6.7 earthquake (moment magnitude later downgraded to a magnitude 6.3) had occurred in the region of Kermadec Islands north of New Zealand at 12:01 am Hawaii Standard Time (HST) on Saturday morning (March 14th).
Based on all assessments completed by the Pacific Tsunami Warning Center (PTWC) and National Tsunami Warning Center (NTWC) in Palmer, Alaska: There is NO TSUNAMI THREAT to the Island and the State of Hawaii. Again, NO TSUNAMI THREAT.
There is also NO TSUNAMI THREAT for the State of Alaska, Western Coasts of Washington, Oregon, and California.
This will be the only information statement for this event unless further data is received.
