No Tsunami Threat to the Island of Hawaii following a magnitude 7.8 earthquake in the region of Perryville, Alaska Tuesday evening (July 21st).

The United States Geological Survey (USGS) reports a magnitude 7.8 (Initially a 7.4 moment later upgraded to a 7.8 magnitude) earthquake that occurred in the region of Perryville, Alaska at 8:13 pm Hawaii Standard Time (HST) Tuesday evening (July 21st).
Assessments have been completed by both the Pacific Tsunami Warning Center (PTWC) and the United States Tsunami Warning Center (USTWC), Based on All Assessments, There is NO TSUNAMI THREAT TO THE ISLAND AND STATE OF HAWAII, AGAIN, NO TSUNAMI THREAT.
