No Tsunami Threat to Hawaii following a Magnitude 6.6 (Moment) earthquake offshore of Komandorskiye Ostrova, Russia.
The United States Geological Survey (USGS) reports a magnitude 6.6 (moment) earthquake occurred offshore of Komandorskiye Ostrova, Russia at 11:06 pm Hawaii Standard Time (HST) Monday night (June 24th).
The Pacific Tsunami Warning Center (PTWC) has completed their assessment on the earthquake and based on all assessments. There is NO TSUNAMI THREAT TO ISLAND AND STATE OF HAWAI'I. Again there is NO TSUNAMI THREAT.
