Former Hawaii Island Mayor William "Billy" Kenoi has died after a long battle with a rare form of Leukemia Tuesday (January 26th).

The HIRSC Team on Hawaii Island has confirmed with close friends and family that former Hawaii Island Mayor William "Billy" Kenoi has died after a long battle with a rare form of Leukemia. Kenoi was 51-years-old.

In a statement released by the Kenoi family: the Kenoi family expressed appreciation for an outpouring of aloha from the community.

Services are still pending for Kenoi and more details will be released at a later date.

More details on the life of Billy Kenoi will be released in the coming days.
