Hawaii Island Summit Advisory for March 30th, 2021
A Winter Weather Advisory for the Island of Hawaii summits of Maunakea and Maunaloa has been extended until late Tuesday morning (March 30th).

WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL 10 AM HST TUESDAY...
* WHAT...What has melted on the ground this afternoon will refreeze tonight, resulting in hazardous icy conditions. No additional snow is expected tonight.
* WHERE...Big Island summits above 12,000 feet.
* WHEN...Until 10 AM HST Tuesday.
* IMPACTS...Plan on slippery road conditions. Snow showers and fog will significantly reduce visibility at times, with periods of zero visibility.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... A Winter Weather Advisory means that periods of snow, sleet, or freezing rain will cause travel difficulties. Be prepared for slippery roads and limited visibilities and use caution while driving.
