A Winter Weather Advisory for the Island of Hawaii summits of Maunakea and Maunaloa has been extended through Tuesday morning (March 9th).

...WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY FOR MAUNA KEA AND MAUNA LOA...
.Deep moisture will spread over the area from the east and south,
while a nearby trough aloft maintains sub-freezing temperatures
over the Big Island Summits tonight bringing the potential for
heavy snowfall.
...WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 6 AM HST
TUESDAY...
* WHAT...Snow accumulations of up to 3 inches.
* WHERE...Big Island Summits above 11000 feet.
* WHEN...Until 6 AM HST Tuesday.
* IMPACTS...Travel could be very difficult to impossible.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
A Winter Weather Advisory means that periods of snow, sleet, or
freezing rain will cause travel difficulties. Be prepared for
slippery roads and limited visibilities and use caution while
driving.
