Hawaii Island Traffic Incidents Update for December 2nd, 2019
Emergency crews responded to a total of 57 traffic collisions in a 4-day period from Thursday 11/28 to Sunday 12/1.
Of the 57 incidents, the Hawaii Fire Department (HFD) was dispatched to 13 and rest were handled by the Hawaii Police Department (HPD). Of these, 55 out of 57 were declared minor and non-injury accidents.
Two incidents in Kona resulted in serious injuries and other incidents were minor or non-injury accidents.
The Hawaii Fire Department (HFD) along with the Hawaii Police Department (HPD) responded to a total of 57 different traffic collisions around Hawaii Island from Thursday, November 28th to Sunday, December 1st.
Breakdown on the total number collisions reported on the following Days:
Thursday, November 28th: 18 Incidents
Friday, November 29th: 19 Incidents
Saturday, November 30th: 9 Incidents
Sunday, December 1st: 11 Incidents
Total Number incidents reported: 57 incidents
The majority of the incidents reported were non-injury or minor accidents that occurred and only required the response of HPD Officers.
