Hawaii Island Weather Update for July 11th, 2020
HIRSC Weather Team is continuing to watch two disturbances in the East Pacific. The first disturbance, Tropical Storm Cristina, is moving a track as it begins to slowly dissipate as it moves west. The only impact expected for Hawaii Island weather is an increase of windward and mauka showers moving in with the trade wind flow later next weekend.
The second disturbance, an area of interest that crossed into the East Pacific from Central America has a high chance of becoming an organized storm in the next 5 days. We will closely monitor this disturbance as it becomes more organized in the coming days.
