Missing Person: Benjamin (Benny) Rapoza
HIRSC team apologizes for the incorrect name in the initial post and has since corrected it. HIRSC team is working internally to ensure that information is correct before publishing updates in the future.
The Hawaii Police Department (HPD) and the Hawaii Fire Department (HFD) are currently conducting a search for a missing person in the Keaukaha area, who was last seen Friday Afternoon (December 20th).
The initial call came at 5:34 pm Friday evening and HPD officers from South Hilo Patrol and HFD crews from the Waiakea and Central Fire Stations along with Battalion 1 responded to Keaukaha, where at this time an ocean, land and air search is underway.
Details preliminary released to the public is 6-year-old Benny Rapoza, who is Autistic and need of help/assistance. He was last wearing only a diaper and no shirt.
The public assistance is requested in locating Souza and if the public locates Souza, you are asked to immediately call HPD.
