HIRSC Hiatus Notice

HIRSC Team will be going a short hiatus (break) from December 30th, 2019 to January 2nd, 2020 to complete major additions and facelift to our websites expected to go online on January 2nd, 2020.


West Hawaii Scanner Feed will remain up during that period and weekly maintenance usually scheduled for Mondays has been pushed to Friday, January 3rd, 2020.

We hope everyone had a safe and also Merry Christmas. And looking forward to happy and healthy 2020.


Again, as we usually start off every message to our followers and supporters, thank you again to everyone for your continued support over the last 2 years and look forward to continuing our work into the year 2020.


As you are folks are aware, we have a lot of new exciting additions coming to our website and other platforms in 2020 and here they are:

  • From Monday, December 30th, 2019 till Thursday, January 2nd, 2020, the HIRSC team will be taking a short hiatus (or break) to allow the entire HIRSC team to complete major additions and facelift of the website in time for our unveil in 2020. Any major events that should occur during that period, our team will do our best to provide updates as the information becomes available.

  • The first new thing we just got news of as of Tuesday, December 24th, the HIRSC team will be the new host of MarineTraffic AIS Feed Station beginning in late January to early February. Our feed site will be the second on Hawaii Island and will primarily cover only waters around South, West, and parts of North Hawaii. This addition will be added to alongside our FlightAware Feeder Station for West Hawaii and also West Hawaii Scanner Feed.   • Website additions and Facelift will go into effect on January 2nd, 2020, the transition will be seamless and users logging on that day immediately notice the new navigational aids to help users find things a lot quicker. The addition of the Arizona Information Section will also go online as well. Any changes from this date, we will provide an update.

  • The resource library page with PDF documents, other links, and information notes will be available on January 3rd, 2020; as we are waiting for a few documents to be sent or updated before making the page official. We apologize for the delay.

  • West Hawaii Scanner Feed weekly maintenance usually conducted on Mondays between 10:30 pm and 11:30 pm, has been delayed and pushed back to happen on Friday, January 3rd, 2020 from 10:30 pm to 11:30 pm. Delaying this will allow our team to primarily focus on completing updates and additions to our website.
