The HIRSC Team on Hawaii Island is proud to announce that in partnership with HIRSC Founder and Administrator Benjamin Agdeppa photography business (Photography by Benjamin Agdeppa) is now apart of the Code Adam program, National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) resource branch for business and commercial centers to better respond for reports of missing or lost children within their establishments.
All HIRSC Hawaii Island team members have undergone Code Adam training to help recognize the signs of lost and abducted children and ensuring that we have the necessary safety protocols in place to respond quickly and effectively to situations involving a missing child within our establishment (our future storefront coming in the near future). This same training currently being conducted with our mainland team members.
Also, a handful of our HIRSC Administration and Moderating team is still undergoing more in-depth training on understanding the signs of a missing, lost, runaways, or exploited children, the trends related to abductions and trafficking cases, wandering cases related to medical conditions including autism, online/internet safety training, and recognizing abuse.
Our team has undergone this training in response to the recent incidents occurring around Hawaii Island to not only make our community's our team members live in safer but our island as a whole. Rather than creating another network, the HIRSC Team has decided to partner with a well-known program and become apart of a bigger network recognized nationwide and also help expand their reach to provide resources to everyone. These issues are not only happening on our island or state but happening all over the nation.
Some of the resources that our team has received are also available on our Keiki Safety Resource page as well. (Click here to view our Keiki Safety Resource page)
We want to give a huge thank you to Ben for sponsoring the HIRSC Team on Hawaii Island under his photography business and also helping make the island of Hawaii safer for everyone.
