Published by: HIRSC - Administration and Moderating Team
The HIRSC - Administration is deeply saddened to announce the sudden passing of a HIRSC - Moderator on the Island of Maui, whom we will solely identify by his first initial J, at the request of his family during this difficult time.
J, who has been with the HIRSC Team since late 2017 and has been based on the Island of Maui, providing us with some very helpful information on systems, departments, and also codes used on the Island of Maui and also through the County of Maui. J has also been a huge contributor to the HIRSC Website and also been credited for adding members from the States of California, Utah, and Montana over the past few years, leading to the largest expansion outside of Hawaii Island since our founding in 2017.
He is also co-credited for creating the Debriefing and Stress Management Team within HIRSC to help our members during very difficult situations including incidents heard over the scanner. This program has successfully helped not only our HIRSC Team Members but also numerous community members and also first responders as well.
On the evening of Saturday, March 6th, 2021, J, unfortunately, took his last breath on this earth and passed away peacefully in his sleep at his home on the Island of Maui. The family has expressed their profound gratitude for the outpouring of support, sympathies, and prayers during this extremely difficult time. They have asked for privacy during this time and all services for J will be private.
We will miss J for the contagious smile and also laughter he brought to many of our HIRSC Team Members, we all treated him like a father, son, and also brother in many situations. He knew how to light up a room even during its darkest hours.
No amount of words in the world can truly describe the deep sadness and sorrow the entire HIRSC Team across all sections is feeling at this exact time.
To J, on behalf of the entire HIRSC Team, we would like to thank you for your commitment, dedication, and also service to not only the Islands of Hawaii and Maui but to the entire State of Hawai'i and across the states we cover.
You may be gone from our sights, but you will never be gone from our hearts.
me ke aloha pumehana, until we meet again.
Rest in Peace, Love, and Aloha,
HIRSC - Founder and Administrator
