In case you had missed it, Here's a special treat (or photo) from Halloween morning.
Published by: HIRSC - Hawaii Island (Holualoa) Team
In the event you missed the blue moon that peaked on Halloween 2020, here's a photo of the rare blue moon and also Halloween moon that was taken from the slopes of Mauna Loa during the early morning hours just before sunrise.
This photo was taken by our HIRSC Administrator Benjamin Agdeppa. If you would like to use his photo of the rare blue and Halloween moon, please message him directly for use.
The weather that morning was perfect that he witnessed the moon setting to the west and sun rising to the east, with the golden light beckoning on the summit of Maunakea. To see more photos from that morning, please follow his Facebook to see the full album (and to also see the panorama of the moon set and sunrise).
Mahalo to Ben for sharing this photo with the HIRSC followers.
