HIRSC - Hawaii Island (Holualoa) Team
In the event, you missed sunrise over a snow-capped Maunakea earlier this morning, here's a photo of the beautiful snowy scene that blanketed the summit of Maunakea that was taken from the Mauna Loa Observatory at 11,135-feet just after sunrise Wednesday, January 27th, 2021.
This photo was taken by our HIRSC Administrator Benjamin Agdeppa. If you would like to use his photo of the beautiful snowy sunrise over Maunakea, please message him directly for use.
The weather that this morning was fog inversion layer that settled on the lower elevations and cleared as he ascended to the 11,135-foot elevation.
