Monthly Update for March 2020

Aloha Everyone,

As requested, here's the Island of Hawaii Mile Markers Map created by our founder and administrator Benjamin Agdeppa.

(Please Click Here to view the Map)

Ben reports the following updates were completed to the map for the months of February and March of 2020:

  • Realigned a few mile markers based on the correct GPS coordinates verified by driving the route.

  • Added Boat Ramps, Harbors, and Piers to the Map

  • Added a couple of new landmarks used by First Responders and Local Residents

  • Added/Realigned location of a few public facilities (Fire Stations, Police Stations, and Transfer Stations)

  • Penciled in a few new roadways in Kailua-Kona (Not on Google Maps at the moment, has been sent to them to be added into the database to show on Maps)

  • Changed a few landmarks icons/graphics to be compliant with Google Maps

  • Updated Description of one traffic signal in Pahoa that recently came online.

Fun Fact: As of March 22nd, 2020 at 10:00 pm, this map has been viewed over 52,000 times.

We want to say once again a big mahalo (Thank You) to Ben for continuing to maintain this map for the public to use. If you would like to request to see something on the map, please feel free to message us at info@hiradioscannercommunity.com and will forward it over to Ben for consideration.
