Synopsis:
An unstable weather pattern will remain over the Island of Hawaii on Saturday, bring the possibility of moderate to heavy showers with thunderstorms happening in the afternoon hours (a similar occurrence happened in Hu'umula and Saddle Region Friday afternoon). A cold to the northwest of the State of Hawai'i will be moving to the east and causing a slight disruption to the trade wind flow, bring a convective type weather pattern (sea breeze with daytime heating leading to afternoon clouds and showers over interior parts of the islands, slowly clearing after sunset) to begin Sunday through Tuesday.
Winds around the Island of Hawaii will be light to variable with some breezy conditions, mainly in the North Kohala and South Kohala Districts and also in Na'alehu as well on Saturday, with some gust reaching 24 mph. Breezy conditions will slowly lighten on Saturday evening into Sunday morning, turning more light to variable winds.
East Hawaii (Includes South Hilo and Puna Districts):
Scattered showers with the possibility of thunderstorms throughout East Hawaii, happening in the afternoon and early evening hours on Saturday. Some areas will see mostly cloudy conditions.

Hilo: West-Southwest up to 8 mph
