Synopsis:


A more stable weather pattern has settled over the Island of Hawaii and the threat for thunderstorms has slightly diminished, however, the slight possibility for a pop-up thunderstorm to occur in the higher elevations is likely (particularly around Hu'umula/Saddle Regions of Maunakea, Maunaloa, and Hualālai) in the afternoon hours.


Winds around the Island of Hawaii in most areas will remain fairly light with the Laupāhoehoe and Na'alehu areas seeing breezy conditions with gust possibly reaching up to 22 mph.


East Hawaii (Includes South Hilo and Puna Districts):

  • Isolated to Scattered showers throughout East Hawaii, happening in the afternoon and early evening hours on Monday. Some areas will see mostly cloudy conditions.

  • Winds

  • Kurtistown: South-Southwest changing to East-Southeast up to 9 mph

  • Pāhoa: East-Southeast up to 8 mph

  • Hilo: South-Southwest up to 9 mph

  • Temps on Saturday

  • High ranging from 78 to 82

  • Low ranging from 61 to 67

Hāmākua Coast (North Hilo to Hāmākua Districts):

  • Isolated to Scattered showers throughout Hāmākua and North Hilo District, happening in the afternoon and early evening hours on Monday. Some areas will see mostly cloudy conditions.

  • Winds

  • Honoka'a: East up to 10 mph

  • Laupāhoehoe: East-Southeast up to 16 mph and Gust up to 22 mph

  • Temps on Saturday

  • High ranging from 77 to 79

  • Low ranging from 60 to 64

North Hawaii (North and South Kohala Districts including the Kohala Coast):

  • Mostly Sunny Skies in the AM and Isolated to Scattered Showers in the afternoon hours, particularly in the mauka sections of North Hawaii Region. Some areas will see partly cloudy conditions.

  • Winds

  • Kamuela: Calm to West up to 7 mph

  • Kapa'au: South-southeast up to 14 mph and Gust up to 18 mph

  • Kawaihae to Waikoloa Village: West to Northwest up to 8 mph

  • Temps on Saturday

  • High ranging from 75 to 84

  • Low ranging from 52 to 68

Kona Coast (North and South Kona Districts):

  • A more stable convective weather pattern, mostly sunny skies in the morning and afternoon clouds, and scattered showers along the Kona Coast, showers may continue into the evening hours and clear just after midnight.

  • Winds

  • Kailua-Kona: Northwest up to 11 mph

  • Hōlualoa: West-Northwest up to 10 mph

  • Hōnaunau: Calm to Northwest up to 8 mph

  • Temps on Saturday

  • High ranging from 78 to 85

  • Low ranging from 63 to 70

South Hawaii (Entire District of Ka'ū):

  • Mostly Sunny Skies in the AM and scattered showers throughout the Ka'ū District, happening in the afternoon and early evening hours on Monday. Some areas will see mostly cloudy conditions.

  • Winds

  • Ocean View: Northeast up to 7 mph

  • Na'alehu: Northeast up to 15 mph and Gust up to 21 mph

  • Pāhala: North-Northeast up to 8 mph

  • Volcano: Calm to East-Southeast up to 6 mph

  • Temps on Saturday
