Islands of Maui County Mile Marker Map for April 2021

Major updates have been made to the Islands of Maui County Mile Marker Map for April 2021.

HIRSC Founder and Administrator Benjamin Agdeppa announce that the following major updates have been made to the Islands of Maui County Map:

  • All mile markers (with the exception of 1/2-mile markers) on all islands now have the route number listed below. (Photo above)

  • A couple of mile markers have been updated to the right mile marker number (duplicates were found and changed).

  • The alignment of all mile markers has been adjusted accordingly.

  • All graphics have been given a cleaner look.

  • Route numbers have been added to routes unmarked with mile markers for reference purposes.

  • All traffic signal graphics have been updated and are uniformed to the same graphics used on Hawaii Island's Map.

  • Lifeguard Stations on Maui have been added to the map with a division logo marking the location.

  • Maui Fire Department (MFD) information has been updated/corrected

  • Maui Police Department (MPD) information has been updated/corrected

  • A handful of mile marker description has been updated and corrected.

  • A handful of landmarks have been added to the map.

  • Some major rivers and gulches have been traced using a line colored in Dark Blue or Light Blue. More slowly being added.

  • Overhead bridge/low clearance tunnels/overpasses have been marked on the map using a sign with height on it.

  • Maui Sugar Cane Train Route traced in lime green color and railroad crossings have been marked using an actual crossing sign. (Photo in slideshow)


As of 11:30 pm on April 4th, 2021, the Islands of Maui County Mile Marker Map has been viewed over 11,667 times since the first release was made on March 26th, 2021, and has been since shared over 450 times on all major media platforms. It has become very popular according to many comments and messages received by team members of HIRSC and also from the general public on Facebook.


And once again, a big mahalo goes to Ben for his continued hard work and dedication to keep this available to the public to access and use.
