Kailua-Kona Information Update for December 4th, 2019

Deceased woman found at an abandoned home in Kealakehe has been tentatively identified as a 34-year-old Kailua-Kona woman reported missing on Sunday, December 1st.


No Foul Play is suspected in this incident.

The Hawaii Police Department (HPD) has tentatively identified a deceased woman found at an abandoned home in the Kealakehe subdivision in Kailua-Kona on Tuesday afternoon (December 3rd) as 34-year-old Lucille Arboleda, who was reported missing Sunday, December 1st by her family after failing to return from a routine daily walk.


HPD Detectives with Area II Criminal Investigation Division (CID) and patrol officers are continuing with their investigation into the incident. CID Detectives have confirmed that NO FOUL PLAY is suspected in this incident.


The search for Arboleda involved the Hawaii Fire Department (HFD), HPD, family members, and community members who conducted a multi-day search throughout the Kealakehe subdivision by air and land.


At 4:32 pm on Tuesday afternoon, HPD officers and detectives were called to the 74-5000 block of Hua’ala Street in Kailua-Kona. At the residence, police located a deceased female, of which they had tentatively identified as 34-year-old Lucille Arboleda of Kailua-Kona.
