The Hawaii Fire Department (HFD) along with the Hawaii Police Department (HPD) responded to a report of an auto vs pedestrian collision that occurred in the Lono Kona (Hamburger Hill) subdivision in Kailua-Kona on Tuesday evening (January 12th).
The initial call came in at 5:10 pm Tuesday evening and HFD Crews from the Kailua Fire Station and HPD Officers from the Kona Patrol responded to the scene located near the intersection of Ala Onaona Street and Alahou Street in the Lono Kona subdivision.
Upon the arrival of emergency crews, reports came in that vehicle (described as a GMC SUV) had collided with a pedestrian (described as a male in his 30s, who was skateboarding at the time of the incident) near the intersection of Ala Onaona Street and Alahou Street in the Lono Kona subdivision.
