Kailua-Kona Information Update for November 14th, 2019
Man is critically injured following a fall from the back of a pickup truck in Kailua-Kona on Thursday morning (November 14th).

The Hawaii Fire Department (HFD) along with the Hawaii Police Department (HPD) responded to a person who fell out of a pickup truck on Manawalea Street in Kailua-Kona Thursday morning (November 14th).
The initial call came at 9:59 am and crews from the Kailua Fire Station along with HPD units from the Kona Patrol responded to the scene located near the intersection of Ka'eka Street and Manawalea Street in Kailua-Kona.
Upon the arrival of HFD and HPD units, the reporting party reported that the patient (being described as a male in '30s) was sitting in the back of a pickup truck on a mattress had fallen out of the back of the pickup truck onto the road and reported have suffered a head injury and was unconscious.
Once HFD and HPD units arrived on the scene, they immediately took over medical care of the male patient. HFD Medics then later transported the male to the Kona Community Hospital in critical condition, where at this time, his condition remains unknown. The driver of the pickup truck was uninjured.
HPD is currently investigating the incident.
