Kailua-Kona Traffic Advisory for April 2020

Traffic delays and alternating lane closures on Henry Street is expected as road and traffic signal installation work related to Niumalu Marketplace construction continues.

Construction work associated with the new Niumalu Marketplace on Henry Street continues in Kailua-Kona.

Crews are beginning work on traffic signal/intersection work located between Alahou Street and Queen Kaahumanu Highway intersections on Henry Street. Alternating lane closures on Henry Street in both directions are expected construction and installation work progress.

Motorists traveling on Henry Street in the area of the marketplace are asked to drive with caution in the work area.

Road construction is expected to continue through into Summer 2020 and marketplace construction is expected to be complete in Fall 2020.

No date was given on when the traffic signal will be activated, we will provide an update as it becomes available.
