Kailua-Kona Traffic Advisory for January 22nd, 2020

Road work related to the Kahului Bay Bridge Replacement project will result in the closure of one lane of traffic on Ali'i Drive from Wednesday, January 22nd to Friday, January 24th.

Isemoto Contracting Co. Ltd. announces from Wednesday, January 22nd to Friday, January 24th, 2020 will be conducting roadwork on Ali'i Drive at the Kahului Bay Bridge which will result in the closure of one lane of traffic within the work area (between Wyndham Kona Hawaiian Resort to the Sea Village condos).

Digital signs have been posted in both directions of Ali'i Drive to warn motorists, bicyclists, and pedestrians of the one-lane closure during the dates listed above. Motorists traveling on Ali'i Drive on the dates given should anticipate traffic delays and use alternate routes.

All construction and roadwork are related to the Kahului Bay Bridge Replacement (or Ali'i Drive Culvert Replacement) project which began back in the Fall of 2019 and work is expected to continue through 2020 and expected to be completed in May 2021.
