Kailua Village Construction Update for March 20th, 2020

On Friday, March 20th, 2020, the County of Hawaii Department of Public Works (DPW) provided an update on the reconstruction work related to the Ali'i Drive in Kailua Village.


The following was completed as of Friday, March 20th, 2020:


- The stabilizing the sea wall is complete.

Work to be done in the next two weeks:

● Stabilizing the sewer line. ● Repairing holes in the sea wall. ● Continuation of concrete shoulder work & pedestrian wall reconstruction. Concrete shoulder work 25% complete.

● Work should be complete on the retaining wall w/in the next week, pending weather conditions and/or external impacts from the current pandemic threat. ● Once the retaining wall is complete, the gas line needs to be re-installed.
