Man in his 70's fatally injured following a tractor accident in Kaloko, North Kona Saturday evening (April 4th).

The Hawaii Fire Department (HFD) along with the Hawaii Police Department (HPD) responded to a report of a tractor accident at a property in Kaloko, North Kona Saturday evening (April 4th).
The initial call came in 6:48 pm Saturday evening and HFD crews from the Makalei and Kailua Fire Stations along with HPD officers from the Kona Patrol responded to the scene located at the 73-1400 block of Ha'o Place in Kaloko, North Kona.
Upon the arrival of emergency crews, reports came in that a male (described to be in his 70's) was trapped beneath a tractor on a property in Kaloko and was reported to be critically injured following the incident and bystanders were awaiting the arrival of emergency crews.
Once emergency crews arrived on scene, HFD crews immediately worked to extricate the male from beneath the tractor. Once extricated, HFD Medics immediately began life-saving measures on the male victim, however, later ceasing all life-saving measures and declaring the male DOA (Dead On Arrival) at the scene.
Once the determination was made, HFD crews turned the scene over to HPD officers, where they began their investigation into the incident.
