Kapoho Information Update #2 for June 15th, 2021
The Hawaii Police Department (HPD) identify a 49-year-old Pāhoa woman fatally injured in a single-vehicle collision on Highway 137 (Government Beach Road) in Kapoho, Puna Monday evening (June 14th).

Hawai’i Island police have identified a female who died following a single-vehicle collision that occurred on Monday evening, June 14, 2021, on Government Beach Road in the area of Papaya Farms Road in Puna.
She is identified as 49-year-old Fawn K. Jost, of Pahoa, Hawaii.
An autopsy was conducted on Tuesday, June 15, 2021, but police are awaiting the toxicology results before making a final determination.
The East Hawai’i Traffic Enforcement Unit has initiated a Coroner’s Inquest investigation which remains pending.
