Puna Information Update # 2 for December 8th, 2019
HFD crews are on the scene of a confirmed residential structure fire in the Hawaiian Paradise Park subdivision that started Sunday evening (December 8th).

The Hawaii Fire Department (HFD) along with the Hawaii Police Department (HPD) are on scene of a confirmed residential structure fire in the Hawaiian Paradise Park subdivision in Puna that started Sunday evening (December 8th).
The initial call came in at 6:26 pm Sunday evening and crews from the Paradise Park, Pahoa, and Kea'au Fire Stations along with Battalion 1, volunteers from the Hawaiian Paradise Park station, and HPD officers from the Puna Patrol responded to the scene located at the 15-1700 block of 5th Avenue in the Hawaiian Paradise Park subdivision in Puna.
Initial reports came in that a vacant two-story family dwelling previous damaged in an earlier fire was reported to be fully engulfed in flames and also heavy smoke was visible throughout the Hawaiian Paradise Park subdivision.
