Puna Information Update for May 1st, 2019

The Hawaii Fire Department (HFD) is currently on scene of a confirmed structure fire on Kalaninauli Road in Volcano Village that was reported late Wednesay evening (May 1st).

The initial call came in at 11:37 pm Wednesday evening and crews from the Volcano, Kea'au, Pahoa, and Central Fire Stations along with Battalion 1 and volunteers from Volcano Village responded to the scene. Upon the arrival of HFD crews, neighbors reported the structure fully engulfed in flames.
