Puna Information Update for May 30th, 2020

The Hawaii Police Department (HPD) is requesting the public's help and assistance in locating 18-year-old Ysabel Carrero, who was last seen at Malami Ki Flats in Lower Puna.
If anyone has anyone has any information on the whereabouts of Carrero, you are asked to call HPD's Non-Emergency Line at (808) 935-3311.
No further details are available at this time and HPD officials have advised us that further details/information is forthcoming and we will provide an update once it becomes available.
The initial call came in at 6:39 pm for an overdue female/missing person's report and the Hawaii Fire Department (HFD) crews from the Pahoa Fire Station along with HPD Officers from the Puna Patrol responded to Malama Ki Flats in Lower Puna.
Where HFD and HPD personnel were on scene conducting a search of the Malama Ki Flats area. It's unknown at this time if search this will continue into Sunday. No further details were disclosed.
Since the first report, HPD has since sent out a Nixle alert asking for the public's assistance in locating Carrero.
