The Hawaii Fire Department (HFD) responding to a report of a fire at a residence in the Hawaiian Paradise Park subdivision Tuesday morning (October 27th).

The Hawaii Fire Department (HFD) and the Hawaii Police Department (HPD) is at the scene of a structure fire at a residence off of 33rd Avenue in the Hawaiian Paradise Park subdivision in Puna reported Tuesday morning (October 27th).
The initial call came at 10:45 am Tuesday morning and HFD crews from the Paradise Park and Pahoa Fire Stations along with Battalion 1, Volunteers from the Hawaiian Paradise Park Station, and HPD Officers from the Puna Patrol are at the scene located at the 15-2000 block of 33rd Avenue (Uluhe Avenue) in the Hawaiian Paradise Park.
At this time the fire is under control and fire was contained to the garage of the residence (described as a single-story family dwelling). The residence had appeared to be unoccupied and abandoned at the time of the report.
HFD Fire Inspector is en-route to the scene to begin an investigation into the fire.
