Disruption and outage is planned for the West Hawaii Scanner Feed from late Sunday evening (November 15th) to early Monday morning (November 16th).
Published by: HIRSC - Administration and Moderating Team
The HIRSC Team is informing our listener community that they will experience disruption and outage to the West Hawaii Scanner Feed beginning late Sunday evening (November 15th).
Due to a last-minute Windows operating system update recently sent out and requires for the computer operating the scanner feed to be offline, HIRSC Team has elected for the outage to occur during the following time period.
10:30 pm Sunday evening to 12:15 am Monday morning (November 16th)
The outage will affect both the Hawaii County Police and Fire - West Feed and Node 200: Moanuiahea - Calls Platform System.
While that update is taking place our team will work behind the scenes remotely (since a majority of our team is currently off-island and on vacation currently) and fix issues we are currently experiencing with the decoding software. We hope to have a temporary fix complete by end of the operating system update.
However, our HIRSC - Hawaii Island team will need to schedule another feed outage next week (Week of Thanksgiving) to fully complete all fixes, once our teams return back from vacation. (We will announce that date in the coming days).
We apologize for the inconvenience this may cause and thank everyone for their continued patience and understanding.
